Revolutionary Conversations

Dear wonderful GMW readers,

I love Good Morning World! Thank you and now I think it might be important to alert our readers to my new book.

After years of watching Peace negotiations fail, families stop talking with each other and business miss golden opportunities, I realized that peace and progress must begin with each and every conversation. My co-authors and I have put our 30 years of work, seminars and UCLA classes into our just released book:

Revolutionary Conversations, The Tools You Need for the Success You Want.. You may wish to check out the 6 reader reviews on Amazon.

A capacity to grasp the entire Creation, our planet, Mother Earth, humanity and my incredible self. I cannot repeat enough that each human person is a miracle.

Barbara Gaughen - Muller President of the UNA, Santa Barbara

Co-Author
Revolutionary Conversations, The Tools You Need for the Success You Want

This just in from a Revolutionary Conversations reader Audrey:
Barbara, these easy conversation tools, in your book, can be of value in moving our nation beyond the current and vicious polarization. I am convinced that with an intention grounded in love and these tools we could engage Americans all over this country to be in conversations that heal and move us forward as a nation.

Certainly, Africa would benefit. Rarely is there any place for "questioning" in conversations in Kenya and Uganda, especially conversations with someone in authority or an Elder.

So many possibilities! This kind of change that leads to community, civility and reconciliation is what I am passionate about.

Hope Is What We Become In Action

FRITJOF CAPRA: In your latest book, EcoMind, you pose the question, "Is there a way of perceiving the environmental challenge that is at once hardheaded, evidence based, and invigorating?" And then you write, "I believe it is possible that we can turn today's breakdown into a planetary breakthrough on one condition. We can do it if we can break free of a set of dominant but misleading ideas that are taking us down." ...

FRANCES MOORE LAPPÉ: It was a totally unplanned book, and it has changed my life. ...
I asked whether we could break through to more of an ecological way of seeing and feeling. ...
We should not bless what we're doing now with the term "growth." We should call it what it is, an economy of waste and destruction. ...
The challenge is ... "How do we remake our human-made systems to align positively with what we know creates sustainable and resilient communities?" ...

Life - A Triumph Of Cooperation & Creativity

Life is much less a competitive struggle for survival than
a triumph of cooperation and creativity.
~ Fritjof Capra

Fritjot Capra On Life & Leadership
Sustainability is not an individual property, but is a property of an entire web of relationships. It is a community practice. This is the profound lesson we need to learn from nature.

The way to sustain life is to build and nurture community. Because of the close connection between sustainability and community, basic principles of ecology can also be understood as principles of community. In particular, they can be guiding principles for building and nurturing sustainable learning communities.

They are extremely relevant to taking leadership positions and bringing about systemic change within our schools.

Living Creative Peace

"Living "Creative PEACE" Tribute to DR ROBERT MULLER ...
by Michael A Riddell

DeLIGHTed BARBARA because your "Angel" Robert's LIGHT shines
bright in the lives of many many people around Mother Earth.

A 'Think Tank Group' in ARGENTINA just asked me to write a
Tribute about Robert because of my involvement with him in NYC
at the UN --- I said

"The visionary Dr ROBERT MULLER was Deputy Secretary-General
of the United Nations and co-founder of the UN University for
Peace (UPeace) in Costa Rica, the beautiful creative peaceful
Heart of the Americas.

He was the first UPeace Chancellor. Robert was a friend and
mentor encouraging with UN patronage the :"Lady Liberty 7777
mile Olympic Torch" Run from New York City to Costa Rica as a
"living ArtPEACE" that I created, produced and performed in
1983/4. With the Children of Costa Rica we entrusted the Olympic
Torch to the UPeace and planted "Seeds of Hope-Peace" and
"Trees of Life" that flourish today in memory of Dr Robert Muller's
Smiling WISDOM & VISION."
